HRT with new Viacc^ss cards

Croatian Radio Television (HRT) Zagreb is making final preparations to start it's new Viacc^ss encryption next week. HRT will use the latest Viaccess 2.5 cards what is also called "Viacc^ss 2 card generation 3". HRT will be available in both, old Viacc^ss (1) and new Viacc^ss (2) during next 2 months, afterwards HRT will be encrypted only in new Viacc^ss system.
HRT over satellite is heavely damaged by piracy as it has only around 15.000 subscribers, but in Croatia HRT has over 1 million subscribers.
HRT subscription costs 7€ per month, and 3 channels are available - HRT 1, 2 and 3. HRT is interesting to national and international viewers as it shows latest series sports events. If new Viacc^ss 2.5 card exchange would become financially good, HRT will consider starting some new channels on satellite, cable and DVB-T.
