I am in sweden and want to buy a SKY UK card with movies, sports and indian channels

Can someone guide me, what the procedure is to get a SKY UK card in sweden? thing is i have heard that SKY UK only gets delievered to a UK address where they activate they card?

is it possible to get an open activated card with sky sports, sky movies, and asian package for channels like zee, ary, b4u on it?

I have a dm500.

So i hope you guys can help me out here

There are several European suppliers of Sky packages, you'll probably find one in the google adverts above when you view this section, most will supply a digibox as well, the card initially will need to be paired to a genuine Sky digibox, after this the card can be used in your DM500.

If you know someone in the UK, that is the best way, as there are then no extra charges, they can buy a cheap secondhand box and order the card only.

SKY2007 note that the Asian channels tend to be extra subscriptions on top of the normal sky subscriptions:

ZEE TV + ZEE CINEMA + ALPHA ETC PUNJABI + ZEE GUJARATI £18.99/month

B4U Movies £9.99 /month

SO if you want 2 or 3 packages your monthly subscription cost goes up very rapidly indeed

so that means if i order it from one of those google sites who supply sky cards to europe, then i will need a sky digi box aswell? and once i have activated the card on that, then i can use the card on dreambox?

2nd question is what if i get the card, and I want additional channels on it? will it be possible then to get those channels added on the card? or will i get a new card? like lets say i get the sky uk card, and i want some channels like sahara one and filmy on the card which sky is offering, what is the procedure then?

You should be able to find a supplier who will activate the card for you and send it to you activated, in which case you won't need a Sky digibox.

Never heard of them, but as a rough guide, a company who doesn't reply to your email, is probably best put on the avoid list. ;)

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Insat International. I use them for my Sky HD and they have been absolutely brilliant.

I am particularly looking for all the possible asian channels like ARY, ZEE, SONY, SAHARA, B4U along with sky movies and sports package.

I couldnt find any info about ARY or Sahara on their website.

Can someone tell me more where i can find about those extra asian channels.

If Denis's Insat International don't suit for any reason, then a business very local to me, Base TI, will oblige - send me a PM and I'll give you their full details.

They will definitely activate the card before sending it out. My only doubt is that they normally operate in Spain.

I do know them and they are very good indeed, I've bought a few things off them albeit about six months ago. Last time I chatted with the owner (his name is david) he was just about to start relocating to Gibraltar from Germany. I suspect the lack of response may be due to this! They CAN sort your card out for a one off fee of £50 (and £5 if you want to adjust your package) however I think they require you to have a sterling bank account for direct debit purposes.

Have another go before you give up, it may well be worth the effort.

Skydigitalcards.com i can strongely recommend.

I have used them for years and they don't overcharge you with silly high administration fees yearly.

And i forgot to mention that Sky is VERY expensive due to the high exchange rate of the British pound.

£100 is not much for the typical english bloke, but for us outside it's nearly 1.5x more expensive.

I subscribed to the World package which included sports/movies and was schocked when i saw how much they charged my bank account in the middle of the month.

It was like five times more expensive than the full package from Canal Digital cost monthly.

Just crazy!!

The UK Zee Network channels can be legally subbed from anywhere in Europe as long as you can receive them. No need for BskyB brokers.

On top of that, the BskyB brokers usually only offer the four standard UK or Irish Sky subs as far as I have seen.

Where in Sweden are you? Just bear in mind that if you are located in southern Sweden, you need a dish of 1.8m-2.4m to be able to receive 2d V and H channels. Around Stockholm and Gothenburg, probably a 1.3m will suffice. Please search the forum on Sweden... there are some very good information.
