or just set up your own mail server at home, with a hdd as big as you like. personally, i don't get the fuss about such a big inbox that has been made recently.... the whole gmail concept is massively overhyped. i rarely use mine, but the one i set up for a friend who runs a business (who i'll be giving a proper email address as soon as my hosting is reconfigured anyway) has been "crap" in his words
fact is, if i want a real inbox, i won't go to somewhere offering me stupid amounts of space for free, because there's always a catch. whether its downtime or ads etc, i don't get any of that on my box (whether its hosted locally, or my server in the US that i pay for).
