[updated:LAST EDITED ON 21-Feb-02 AT 08:06 PM (GMT) by rolfw (admin)]I know im a fool but i need a card programmer!

I have a nokia box and a gold card but yeah no programmer, now my contact has stopped doing updates so im a bit stuck. I know my best step would be to buy a programmer and update the card myself so I was wondering where I could buy one and for how much.

Also when I get the programmer I would not be to sure what to program it with so does anyone know any good sites where I could get a few tutorials and a program download to update my card with...

Regards

Have a look in the thread in Keys, Nobbly's Links http://www.satellites.co.uk/scripts/webforum/DCForumID33/127.html there are several links there for files, tutorials and general information sites.

Then have a look in cards and programmers, there are several threads discussing the various programmers.

Get an Elvis (real name Multi-Programmer) - available all over the place. This is widely used and so there is a lot of software around and experienced people you can ask questions of. There is a new kid on the block, Zeus, appears to be a little fiddly though.

I aggree Elvis is the biz I was in the same boat as you about 4 weeks ago, spent a couple weeks looking at the posts in this forum and follwing all the links, everything you need is here and most of the tutorials you will find are geared to the Elvis. I paid £60 for an Evis with a gold card, best 60 quid I've spent. You'll learn loads in no time which great as its all for educational purposes!!

Both sell the Elvis, complete with power supply and serial cable.
