Has anyone managed to get a signal with the dish indoors. You'd think that in this day 'n' age someone would invent an 'indoor dish', anyway, back to hanging out of the window!!

You can get a signal through a window, but unfortunately not through anything more substantial.

Some more than others, I guess that it depends on the lead content and thickness of the glass.

If your serious and you have a minimum 4ft square window and the dish is facing directly out or nearly. The dish needs to be 80cm good lnb replace the glass with polycarbinate sheeting. This stuff is not cheap, i've had my system running for years
hope it helps

Have you seen the Pulsat LX2000 tube?

"The Pulsat LX2000 is an unusual design of antenna for reception of DTH satellite signals. It includes a single-output LNB covering both low-band and high-band and horizontally and vertically polarized transmission modes. It is intended to have lower visual impact than a conventional dish antenna and can be mounted behind plastic materials for even better concealment"

if he could have something outside his building he would have said so the tube needs a large area free to grab all the signal it can
