Totally agree ! ask away, we are here and have been for a number of years. We are all enthusiasts and do it for free. I'm sure there will be a solution to any setup questions you may have.

Oh and :-welcometo the forum :)

Hello everyone out there, new to this forum.

I am interested in getting a satellite system for use on my pc::

thinking of purchasing
a) Twinhan Vision DTV sat-CI 1030A card for pc
 Gilbertini 85cm dish
c) Smart 0.2dB titanium single LNB
all for just under £140 from www.satonline.co.uk

any ideas from all you clever people as to::
a) what channels I would be able to receive?
 does the above sound adequate?
c) any advice?
d) am I wasting my time?

just fro the record I don't want anything to do with Sky.
I live in Norfolk, UK.

look forward to all the replies. ACEofCLUBS

LNB, Dish, Motor, Cable, Receivers all taken down and donated to a newbie.

Get the 1m Gibertini (nobody will notice the difference in size unless they measure it) and a motor. Otherwise you will soon get fed up with one satellite unless you get a bracket to have two or more LNB's for looking at different satellites or keep moving the dish by hand.
