TBH, considering your back and the weght of the dish, and since getting it done now is important, I recommedn getting one of the installers associated with this forum to do it (as per your original post).
They can check where the problem is, and supply a new actuator at reasonable prices if needed.
But as RimaNTSS say, can you post a pic or two - this makes assessment MUCH easier.
