Usually i think everybody knows it,but for the newcomers I want recall you that there is a hidden menu on your sky decoder:the installer set up menu. To find it press SERVICE on your remote control; then 4 (sistem set up); then 01 then SELECT.if you want to know how strong is your 2D signal (and not how strong is the default transponder) press 5 (manual tuning) then for es: for ITV1 write the freq.10.832 polar H symbol rate 22000 fec 5/6 then press find channel and you'll see what is the strenght and the quality of the signal you receive (usually 20% is enough) is the only instrument I've got ,but if you have the dish on a terrace or in another safe place it is very useful. Bye.

Dead right there Ugania, the manual tuning signal reading facility is one of the most useful on the box, certainly when attempting to troubleshoot reception problems.

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

It is indeed strange that the processing tree for the Sky boxes has a customer manual tuning section - which doesnt work. Only the 'hidden' installer menu, activated by pressing 01select has the functioning version
