Hi there,

I'm trying to pick up Intel sat 10-02 however I can not seem to find it. I can pick up Thor 5 with quite a strong signal, but I can't seem to get any channels on Intelsat 10-02. Using a 1.1m Triax dish with a titanium LNB and a Trimax SM-2500 meter. I have managed to get 11403 V / 24500 on Thor 5 fine, but trying to get 11508 V / 12891 on Intelsat 10-02

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Many thanks

Ah yes it is, that's what I'm trying to get, I thought I would be able to pick a signal up from it even when it's not showing ? thought maybe a test card would show or something like that? - If I can get Thor 5 do you see any reason why I shouldn't be able to get Intelsat 10-02?

Many thanks

You're getting the Nordic beam it will no problem at all, if they constantly ran testcards it would be expensive and would need more satellites just to fit in all the testcards :D

I just did a blindscan and here is a currently active feed for you to try at 17:15 BST.

11498 V 3254.

Many thanks for this, I cant get back there till tomorrow, so I can't try that stream.

When I was there earlier, just before I went I was able to get 12563 V 27500 fine from Intelsat, but I wasn't able to pick up 11042 H 2200, which makes me wonder if I still haven't got something right?

11042,Η,2200 comes from the Spot 2 beam, which covers ME and east Mediterranean. I'm not sure if it is receivable in UK (at least with regular sized dishes).

May I ask what has been on that frequency? Does who ever your setting it up for know there will be frequency/parameter changes time to time? I am betting it's for Opera?

You mean the 11504,V,12890? Yes, it is one of the Metropolitan's Live on HD feeds. Most probably it will be live together with 11468,V,12890 - 11486,V,12890 this Saturday afternoon (there is a performance of Massenet’s "Manon").

Yes you are correct it is the Met live feeds, the local venue are signing up for a contract with national theater live to screen this stuff. I'm helping out as it's my local village hall. Strs65, how did you find out that information and the screenings?

Do you mean the information about the Met Opera Live feeds or about the spot 2 beam? Anyway, I've been using blind scan software and decoders and I've found (with several other people) the Met feeds since last year (about the same time, April of 2011), they always use the same frequencies and parameters. Maybe they use one more or one less feed, but they are essentially the same every time (and so far not encrypted).

The information for the spot 2 beam of Intelsat comes from various sources, for example
