Anyone is familiar with the method of receiving internet (one way) by using an
Ethernet cam in the receiver and attaching it to the network card in a laptop. What would be the details???

I've not heard of that possibility, but it is probably more costly that buying a USB receiver.

Here is what I found regarding hardware needed

"1. Receiver Nokia 9600 or Humax 4500
2. Ethernet PCMCIA card
3. UTP cable
4. Serial Cable
5. Computer with network card and modem .
6. AOL or MSN accounts ( not free hotmail )
7. Windows 98se or NT4
after that u must select internet data channel on hotbird from ur receiver then connect to internet and login to ur MSN account then disconnect ... wait then u will see Microsoft Network on ur TV monitor .. after that u can surf internet and download with high speed."

But this article lacks the details........I think if it really works, it is worth the higher price since you are surfing the net for free....right?

W98 or NT4 is not where you want to be, and you won't be surfing the net for free. How would that work? You have to request the web pages somehow...???
