Investment Firm's Old Dish

over here in north America an investment firm used to have a sat uplink for point of sale transactions. they used prodelin commercial dishes. I took some pictures from a local branch today. I believe it to be a 1.8m size with a fixed AZ/EL mount.

Those are big brutes Jack, I know cause we installed 1 or 2 in the field area of the company I previously worked with. Now finito...Let me post some sketches from 'Hughes Network Systems'' Manual. Oh and by the way Jack the Inclinometer (with Compass) which you
can see in the sketches can be used on the Gibertini 1.5 Dish...placed on that flat Bar which is attached to the Polar mount and it gives you straight away the Latitude of your Polar Mount. See picture.

Lol. Me too! Unfortunately I don't have the money to retrieve them. I am not trying to tease anyone by posting the pictures.
I say "them" cause there are two more in town here on massive poles just like that one. My curiosity was raised about this style and manufacturer of dish so I looked at the other branches. 3 out of 10 had them. All the same installation.

2beavs2112: Are you in hurry? Just wait some time, keep an eye on local classifieds, and one day your antenna will come to you. Speaking about 1,8m Prodelin, it happened with me last year when I saw add that one is for sale. So I contacted seller and came to his place (it was only about 10 kilometers from me). I was pretty surprised to see in his shed 2 Prodelins with heating elements, ground mount and wall mount. After some bargaining price was about 260 bucks. Next day I decided to give him another 40 bucks, cuz realized that antennas worth much more.

Well Rima was right. I am happy to be the new owner of a Prodelin 1.8m series 1184 antenna and non-penetrating roof mount. An ad showed up in the classifieds for a city 2 hours away for a large satellite dish. Pictures from the ad. It seems a property owner company hired a sign company to take the dish & mount off the roof of a building with a crane. The dish was used years ago by an Edward Jones Investments office. The sign company owner sold the dish & mount to me for 59 euros. Dish is dirty on back & will need cleaning. There is a crack in the side edge but that wont affect the performance.
