[updated:LAST EDITED ON 05-Apr-02 AT 06:07 AM (GMT)]Now this is interesting. I have 2 Irdeto cams right in front of me. They have part numbers 900440 and 901205. The only difference externally is the 901205 has a bar code label below the serial number on the back. No warning messages or anything. Both have been flashed more than once without any problems: freecam 2018 and then a later patched version with the NVRAM error message removed.

The 901205 I have here seens different to those being reported in this and other forums. Both reported: softcell ver. 2.06; compiled 25/Jun/1999 in the cam menu and all other settings were identical. I purchased them new (one for a friend) from the same reputable dealer. I guess we were lucky.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 30-Apr-02 AT 09:02 PM (GMT)]I originally asked for feedback as I too have an Irdeto CAM, sold to me as flashable & not a EuroCAM. The part number of the CAM is 901205... which the start of this thread states can be flashed once only EG:-

"901205 - Euro/Irdeto II CAM (same h/w as aston 104/105)
- Irdeto v01.05
- softcell ver. 2.09; compiled 22/Sep/2000
- one-time flashable
- blue label warning: any and all modifications prohibited and prosecutable"

I don't have a warning lable or anything.... just the DVB, PC-CARD & CE logos on the back, the part number a bar-code and serial number

When installed into my receiver (Echostar 3600) I got the following info out of it...

Irdeto CI ver 00.04
SoftCell ver 2.06 CI NEC-I-Chip Compiled Jan 25 1999 14:30

According to the SCM site ... and they make the card ;-)
http://www.scmmicro.com/dvb/irdeto.html

Any card beginning 00.x can be flashed.

I decided to flash it with Freecam 2.018... installed Win98 SE on my laptop and after some nailbiting... it worked! I cut a 4 in 1 Funcard... that worked too...

So I'd say there are 2 versions of the 901205.

I've not tried flashing again as there's no need at present. I got an email back from SCM today with the p/w for the 00.07 upgrade from their site, so I can put it back to its original function (at v00.07) if ever I need to.
