Hi I went into a sat shop today and saw an 80cm transparent dish !

The dish was made with a metal mesh enclosed in transparent plastic. It looks cool and a lot see through. It cost £65

The question is that, is this a new thing or has been around for a while.

2nd question is are they as good as the normal dish

They certainly appear to have an equivalent performance to a normal opaque dish, I saw them 18 months ago, but the satellite wholesalers and retailers in the UK are not the best at picking up new ideas, I've E-mailed mine several times to try and get them to stock them. Where did you see it css_jay99 ? I'm off over to France where the manufacturer is at the end of December and I will probably bring a couple back.
