Looks like a Ka feedhorn, but difficult to tell. Depends on the overall size. I think it's an ODU for the Hughes Jupiter satellite system from what I can ascertain searching part numbers online.

Whether it's any cop, I don't know.

Possibly is Ka, used for Hughes' Echostar 17/Jupiter 1 at 107W, which has 60 Ka TPs.

.. there are two downlink beacons in band B, 19700.5 R & 19702.5 R but not sure as yet what the programming frequencies are used. Need to dig a bit more.

Costs more to ship than the item. But worth it to somebody willing to gamble with £50

.. managed to find polarity used, SR used & FEC used but not a sniff of the real actual downlink frequency. The nearest iv'e got is that it is in the Ka 20-40 GHz sector ... so could be very top end of band B or Band C or D ?.

No just three band options, topping out at 20GHz.

No good for us John - they're for the 107.1W position of that satellite :(

I notice Lyngsat gives that sat as empty!

Jupiter 2 was launched a couple of years ago, long afterHughes been assimilated into the Echostar group. Perhaps this is why the earlier LNBs are now finding their way onto the second hand market.

Replacement slot is 97W, meaning all ground hardware would require realignment.

Is it just an LNBF or and ODU (TX/RX)? It looks like an ODU to me but a highly integrated one for the Hughes/Echostar VSAT/Internet platform. There is mention of "Extended Ka" in the attached from here https://www.itu.int/dms_pub/itu-r/md/12/iturka.band/c/R12-ITURKA.BAND-C-0014!!PDF-E.pdf . However, that's the HT1000 not HT200. Maybe there's nothing on Flysat as it is exclusively data for VSATs?

Yes, looks like no discrete LNB to remove and play with. Looks compact enough to put on a smallish dish though.

In particular, Hughes notes that it was found to have demonstrated that EchoStar XVII’s secondary GSO operations in the primary NGSO uplink band at 28.6-29.1 GHz, as well as its operations in the primary NGSO downlink band at 18.8-19.3 GHz, under the waiver authority requested herein, will not cause harmful interference to present or future users with superior authorization status.23

• The FCC International Bureau's Satellite Division granted an application from Hughes Network Systems, LLC to construct, launch, and operate EchoStar XVII at 107.1 degrees WL and to provide fixed satellite service (FSS) using the 28.35-28.6 GHz, 29.25-29.5 GHz, and 29.5-30.0 GHz frequency bands (Earth-to-space) and the 18.3-18.8 GHz and 19.7-20.2 GHz (space-to-Earth). Hughes was also authorized to use the 18.8-19.3 GHz band (space-to-Earth) and the 28.6-29.1 GHz band (Earth-to-space) on a secondary basis. The call sign associated with this FCC file was changed from S2866 to S2753.
