The Astra 2 sats will be over to the left and down a fraction (you will need to move the lnb about half an inch downwards.)

I used an old camera tripod myself, but that gave up (it was an old one!!!), but there are worse things than a bin that a dish can sit on!!! :D

I had my BSB minidish sat on the box of an ADSL router when I tested it with a modern LNB on Hispasat... :D

19E is worth looking at - plenty on there.

19E, 13E and 28E are all roughly the same strengths

as you said you can get astra 1 and hotbird why not try out a monoblock lnb on the dish to see how that works and get both at once

That brings back memories of how I learned :)
Maplins sell a heavy duty tripod with 500watt light on top (tripod is yellow like what road works use)

Very cheap, I got mine a few years ago for < £10.00

I think the world is already sick (in parts) and NOT from hiding dishes. Nice to see swanyl's experiment because it's different.:)

no prob

was having a look myself and i found astra 1d/3a :) could only get the astra sd test card channel tho (think it was 1d correct me if a channel called astra sd appears on any other sat)
then back to astra 2 sats and i found if i move the dish in towards the room a wee bit i can get even more of the channels like sumo tv which i couldn't get before (not that bothered with it tbh its pretty poor stuff :p)

did you manage to get them?
i physically cant get the hotbird sats or any others further to the west due to my window not facing that way
i can get astra 1c etc, astra 1d/3 (but i dont think i'm picking up anything from the 3a sat) and astra 2 etc going to try the ones further to the east but i've had little success.
would really like to get some spannish channels but i think they are all west of astra 1 so i have no chance of getting them :(

yeah but not a bay window and there is the other side of the flats that are right there so there is no chance of getting any signals
