Technomate 5402 HD M2 Ci, DM7000s, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Promax HD Ranger+ spectrum analyser.

Thanks CH, I see the difference, the UHF Equalisers I've used have all been passive and create the slope by attennuation, i didn't realise the sat equaliser was active.

And of course I got it round the wrong way

Amplification of the upper frequencies is higher than the lower ones

The satellite equialisers take power from the LNB voltage supply running up the cable. They can cause trouble by reducing the 14/18 v by a small amount, preventing switching of the polarity.
