I will offer you £94 delivered for it as that was the price I paid for a brand new and boxed one from eBay year.

Were these around £170 brand new when they were available in the UK?

Have you got the Channel Master adapter plate, and brackets, or just the motor?

I'll offer £120, as a back up, as I've just got a Motek 180 set up, and working, but always nice to have a replacement ready, if needed.

Hi, Is the Jaegar SMR 1224 version or Jaeagar smr 1224EL. Can you deliver to Birmingham, if so I can consider an offer?

Doesn't look like an EL version but can surely be modified.

Hi
Could you find out if it fits a 2.4 and post a picture of the casing and drill holes for elevation actuator. Thanks.

If you really have a 2.4M Channel Master then I wouldn't advise you use this motor, it wasn't designed for something that big, and heavy. it is very well made but I'm not sure it will be capable of moving a 2.4M dish, at least not for too long. It would easily move your 1M Channel Master, listed in your profile, but then again so would a few motors, including the lighter, less well made, Moteck H-H 180.
The Channel Master adapter plate is 21cm by 30cm, with 4 holes spread 18cm apart.
It is similar to the one in the picture, which is from the Moteck, but of much better quality. This is all that the Channel Master adapter kit consists of, an adapter plate and two extension arms, designed to push the dish forward to track the satellite arc in the UK.

In the images, supplied by oldtimer70, you can see the main adjuster, the red arrow, for elevation, the green arrows show how it moves the dish, designed not only to move it East, and West, but it also tilts the dish, to automatically adjust for LNB skew.

The final adjustment, to fine tune the satellite arc, is the bolt at the top of the motor.

It is a very well built motor, much stronger than the Moteck 180, and heavier, but I'm still not sure it could handle the weight of the 2.4M channel Master.

Hi ,I would agree with mickha on this one , i would fit a 2.4mtr channel master only onto a polar mount as this is a heavy dish ,

Thanks both, I'll carry on with the a modified polar mount project for the 2.4. Should have the ground mount in by the end of the week at least :)

The EL version is designed for the addition of an actuator for elevation control.
