BMW Sauber test driver Timo Glock set the fastest time in Jerez on Tuesday during the first day of testing at the Spanish circuit. Glock's best lap of 1m 20.606s was more than six tenths of a second quicker than Toro Rosso's Vitantonio Liuzzi. Dry and sunny conditions throughout the day saw the tester complete 71 laps as the team prepared for the forthcoming Japanese and Chinese Grands Prix and tested development parts for 2008. Glock will hand over driving duties to Nick Heidfeld on Wednesday.
