difficult one...I had a slight misalignment, so rather than to go up the roof I just changed my latitude in the setup. I know this is against the rules, but it works. As long as it is not a lot you can get away with it. Other than that you could move the dish and store the channels manually.

Regarding scanning for channels: AS I have said before, almost waste of time. You can go to various sites and download all the latest channels from the internet and load them up to the dreambox. Look in the Guide for the Dreamboxedit, and also for the Settings post. Don't forget to backup your channels and bouquets so you won't have to rescan all the time whenever you got a new image.

Finnaly: Multisat scans don't seem to work very well, better do one by one if you have to. The annoying thing about Dreamboxes is that if you perform a scan it will delete all those channels it did not find. So if you got some channels that have week reception they might be gone afterwards...

If you want a reasonable list of channels from all major sats here are my current setting (load them up with one of the programs).

As the dish is not quite right then the arch may be off.

If you are getting all East sats but not all West (or vice versa) then this would be a symptom.

You will have to move the motor and dish together the 1 or 2 degs in the correct direction this should sort out your East West arch.

You may get away with it but a slight adjustment may get you more sats or better signal.

Hi dynamo985!
Use your original system to get a signal from eg hotbird.
Make sure your motor is on 13 degrees east. Now plug in the DB and
scan only hotbird. If you can scan and receive images on hot bird then you can
then download pet123 settings. As long as you have stored say hotbird in the
correct position then the rest will all work ok.
It worked for me when switching from Humax 5400 to db 7000s.
Hope this helps!!!

I use the Hydra image but this is not relevant.
The card will only work if you use the correct softcam.
What i did was leave the dish on Hotbird, plug the DB in and start from the
begining. Select Diseq & use rotor for multi sat. I only selected hotbird and
scanned and stored the hotbird settings. I then loaded the PET123 settings
and all the other positions were pre installed.
Do you have your db connected to the internet yet?

It makes it more difficult because if you have your db connected to the
internet you can using Hydra image download softcams, pet123 settings and
keys within minutes.
It took me three weekends to get everything up and running but once
I had the db networked to my pc I was able set it up, update and set up
official viewing cards within the hour.
My advise would be wait for you wireless equipment and set it up.
The rest should be simple from then on in.
Questions? Are you on Broadband? and do you use a router?

A time saving tip...If you are going to use llama or pet to update the channel lists, then you can press <LAME> as soon as one channel has been found on your first scan.

Sorry mate, can't help you on this, out of my league. Did you read all the other post on Cardsharing? I am sure there was one dealing with it already. Maybe you can start from there...

Be careful - card sharing is mostly carried out with friends trusted parties.

Most require you to have a card to share before you can join.

Problem is the information from your shared cards may be passed to broadcasters who will cancel them!

There were several threads in this section dealing with disecq and motor setup, have a look there. Just remember that some images are better than others when it comes to motors.
I currently use the SF image, and it rocks.
Regarding the settings, I have aired my views on this a few times. I don't use this that, I prefer to download them from the net and then LLama them into the box...
