Just installed Pace 2500B,some quick questions

I've just installed this in the bedroom for FTA but it's not showing C4&C5,says i need to upgrade the card or words to that effect?
Also,do i need to have it plugged into the phone line?
And whats the RS232 connection for?Can i update it in any way?

Well, no c4/5 Sky3 /film previews means the card's not even working as "Freesat", so you might need to call Sky, but try leaving receiver on in standby with card in slot, especially if the card hasn't been used a while.

If the card's brand new, it needs "activating", again call Sky.

It is a blue card! not the old defunct yellow one?

No, you don't need a phone line for the receiver to work (and it's only "contractually" required for subsidised installations), but some of the Sky Active services work down the phone line.

I don't think anyone's used the RS232 port, ever!

Thanks for the reply.It's a blue card and yes i don't think it has been used for a while,i was given it by a friend so i don't know how long ago he last used it.
Will try what you have suggested.
