This Pimesat/Famaval 1.8 is performing really well, condsidering it has lying snow on the dish, and it is piddling down still newsnet comes in fairly strong, also the Ka LNB is 3 dgrees offset from focus. Hard really the tell any difference than when I had the changer on the CM 1.8!

A paek at 20706. If I go to the list of HVDH, the WGS 8 (56,8° E) should be 8. Can someone confirm this.

The data on WSG1 20242H is new to me. I can't normally lock it on my TD88 dish. I'm using a Norsat 9000C.

I was going to try my Hughes lump's polariser on the FD1000 feedhorn; instead for a quick check I removed the original feedhorn cap then inserted a piece of dielectric card into a spare cap of a Saorsat LNBF, then placed this into the feedhorn's throat.

As expected this increased the LHCP signal by ~2dB in both of the data channels. Scans show the differences.

I use a self-made Inverto Twin KA. I have no problems with circularity. When I use Linear, i insert a dielectric. This is very rare in KA Band C.

There are probably different spot beams.

Very good. DRO pill changed? What about the filters?

Yes. DRO pill changed. The filters are only attenuated at band A. In Band C, I left her that way.

If you want to try band E (17.3-18.2GHz), there are a couple of beacons from Orion satellites. Mentor 4, ~44.1E (Incl.) on 17810.06MHz and Mentor 6 ~52.8E (Incl) on 17860.05MHz. Their main transmissions appear to be spread spectrum in bands B & C but are hard to detect. Both are circular but I don't know which sense. The beacons are strong enough for Crazyscan and most band A LNBs should be OK down to 17.8. I was using a modified Gilat band B on a 1.2m dish.

X Band looks an interesting diversion from the higher bands; may be one to check out one day.
