Then I will look for a 20-22 LNB for 16E and 7E, saorsat lnb is circular, for example with what lnb to test 19.2E ka band and I didn't find a footprint map of 12W WGS DR1.

You are still putting polarity above band, the 9E design will work for the other satellites mentioned (Llew I think has a thread somewhere on his findings ).

The WGS satellites are also circular downlink so you have an advantage with the Saorsat LNB probe and feed type. The original specification of the platform was for 10 X 1000km spotbeams at the upper frequencies so if you know somebody within 500kms with reception then you should have a chance of getting it. All Ka footprints are adjustable by the operator though so what might be receivable now could change next week.

Modifying the Saorsat Band B LNB to work on an adjacent Band is not a trivial matter.

I have experimentally modified the LNB to work on Band A, but the work involved does not magically change the LNB to a Band A LNB with a specification the same as one made for that Band, as there will be some signal loss (front-end, filters).

Advisory note:-You could end up with a non-working LNB in any Band if you aren't sure what you are doing.

Further to Llews advice as well - broadly speaking, it must be realised also that successful Ka band reception- wether using modded equipment or standard commercial lnb's etc, is a step up in difficulty to Ku or Cband reception and the fact that there are generally four different Ka bands, A-B-C-& D that enthusiasts dabble with where only some of the bands contain video broadcast channels of interest and the rest could be data. It's an interesting band otherwise.

** Hellas Sat 3 @ 39° East.
Using a Vertically polorised lnb at the moment but suspect these signals should be RHC.
I'm seeing these two low level signals at the moment off a 1.2 Gibby offset. Anybody with a bigger reflector or a RHC lnb to take a look please.

** Correction re: Satellite & position: Frequencies are correct but the satellite is Athena-Fidus @ 37.8° East :-doh:-doh
Both 18.997 & 19240 correctly identified by Feedsat-DXer previously on 'satellitescommunity.de'

Here it is with 2,20m two clearly separated satellite positions. Cirkular is not possible at the moment because there is too much snow in the garden.

Turksat Ka - 42° E.
Four frequencies present - two lockable with me. Not 100% sure of polarity as yet - lockable ones might be RHC.

All RHCP, too close to house/trees and Gilat droops by 18.7 so can't get the weak pair.

Cheers Graham - iv'e only got vertical pol running at the moment on the Norsat PLL, the other lower ones at 18.669 & 18702 are not LHC by any chance ?. I'll put my Hughes Ka RHC lnb on the lnb changer tomorrow weather permitting.

The beacon is on 18598.501 RHCP and the other furry one is about 3.5-4MHz wide. All are RHCP. The Gilat is about -3dB by 18.5.

.... Couldn't wait until tomorrow to put the Circular Hughes lnb up - I thought it was set up for RHC but after looking at it i think it seems to be for LHC. The received signals are now higher with me to what seems to be LHC. Need some more input to clarify polarity.
