My Satellite Setup
kaon ksf 570 h pvr
1 meter motorised dish
I have just bought a KSC 570 + 2 CI PVR sat receiver.
The system I have is a 1m dish with a Superjack DG 120.
The problem is I have a number of sats tuned in but if I change from
Hotbird to Astra 2 the dish starts to go into jerks and never gets there unless
I go into menu and manually move the dish around. On the other hand if I am on Astra2
and change to Hotbird it flys around normally. I have tried another receiver on my
setup and no problem the dish tunes in in a matter of seconds from sat to sat.
I have send an email to KAON but no reply. Anybody having a simular problem and any solution

Check that Astra2 has 'usals' in the motor option in the installation menu. Also check in the edit satellite list if its position is 28.0E.

I am in work at the moment and will do that when I get home
I know the sat position is ok as i have got all the channels down and can see them it is just the movement on the motor is jerky

I was just looking at the setup the engineer put in when he was setting the system up. All the Sats are set on motor and not Diseqc A,B,C,D, or USUALS
could this be it
the system setup I have is
Model: KSC 570 H
info: 12.05.12-D068
S/W: V03.05.01
H/W: V13.41.6D
loader: V5.1.9
CA: 2.2.2
PVR: 1.6.0
I am using a Dragon cam which is working fine.
Does my system need to be updated
I have tried changing it over to USALS but it doesn't seem to make any difference as for the position Astra2 is set at 28.2 but if I remember he was saying that because I am not due North of thor everything is offset am I right in saying this or was the engineer talking Shite.

Any help would be appreciated as I also have the wife nagging in my ear!!!

As the engineer said, your setup is not exact. You can still get astra2 in the motor setting, by going east or west, and then when you see signal, store position. Otherwise, choose usals, go to edit satellite, increase or decrease the 28.2 by say 0.2 until you get good signal, then keep to that number. Regards, pcd.
