Hi , ppl wondering if anybody can recommend the best Laptop for programming Dreambox 7025 which can have the following accesses & slots shown below :-

1 - Serial Interface RS 232

2 - ETHERNET Interface

3 - USB connector

4 - Null Modem cable

5 - PCMCIA for Modules insertions

6 - Processor speed 3.6 GHz

7 - Hard Disk capacity 250 GB

8 - RAM 1 GB

Any thought you would have be greatly appreciated

Hi there, Programming a dreambox doesn't require any special functions. You simply need any computer with a serial port and a network adapter.

You need the DreamUp utility and an FTP client , I recommend FlashFxP.

DreamUp is used to load your chosen image to the dreambox , then using FTP you can transfer settings and bouquets etc....
