Laser torment for Blaine

David Blaine's latest stunt has been disrupted again, this time by people trying to shine laserpens in his eyes.

Security officers chased away two teenagers and a man who were using the pens to keep Blaine awake, reports the Evening Standard.

A security source said: "They had hidden out at a spot quite far away from where we were standing guard. David was very frightened because in America a red dot means that someone is aiming a gun at you."

Blaine indicated to the guards where the light was coming from and after giving chase, the security officers caught all three.

"Because we were dealing with laser pens and David was so shaken, we called the police and the men were questioned," said the security source. The three were then released.

It comes after internet pranksters tried to organise a 'flash mob' stunt involving shining laser pens at Blaine. It is believed the 'swarm' was planned for Friday.

Blaine is planning to live without food for 44 days in his plastic box, measuring 7ft deep, 7ft long and 3ft wide, while dangling over the River Thames.
