Was at mums in Cleveleys today and when I went walking on the prom with her noticed one of the legacy trams negotiating the Cleveleys Turnpike got stuck returning to the straight tracks, some water poured on the tracks, presumably to dampen the sand worked eventually but held up one of the new trams that only when in service 1st April.

After this the next legacy tram was round the turnpike in a jiffy

That the one at Little Bispham? The new tram looks swishy..... and foreign :( A shame when you think of the tram building facilities they used to have.

Yes I agree it seems to depend which side of the border you are from as to how it is described lol
but it is just after the Little Bispham tram stop which is where the new one was waiting patiently for the legacy tram to get going.

Wasn't it a case of the wrong type of sand on the tracks?

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

I'm sure I read somewhere that Blackpool were borrowing trams from Beamish (which is just round the corner from here), can't recall where I read it though...:confused

I just had a look on t'internet and I got it the wrong way round, it's Blackpool trams at Beamish... O-Ha

At least I now know that if I feel like a ride on a Blackpool tram, all I have to do is go visit Beamish (any bus to Stanley, number 8 bus to Beamish, have a wander, and go home!!), especially as 1 ticket lasts a whole year for entry at any time, which is nice... :D
