I bought the sat finder, dish and the wall bracket and the LNB. Excellent value. They were on sale at about a pound cheaper than yours in england.

OK, So I got a Freeview Box,

Q1. Do I get any extra channels from this satellite Receiver?
What channels will I receive on this box?

Q2 There are two systems. Complete system at £59.95 or Receiver + Dish (£39.95+£14.95) Which is the best to go for? Are both receivers the same?

Q3 Is it worth buying the seperate satallite finder, or is the one in the complete kit adequate?

When you say extra channels - you will get any free-to-air channels transmitted from the satellites you point the dish at. This will depend on the dish size and area covered by the FTA channel. Check lyngsat.com. I think this receiver is made by Comag and previous receivers have been patchable to receive 'extra' channels on some satellites. No guarantees as I haven't seen any patches for this receiver - yet!

Q2 There are two systems. Complete system at £59.95 or Receiver + Dish (£39.95+£14.95) Which is the best to go for? Are both receivers the same?

The complete system include a smaller dish and dual LNB - may be worth it to start you off. The larger dish will help but you will also have to buy the LNB (included in the package). Both receivers are the same.

Q3 Is it worth buying the separate satallite finder, or is the one in the complete kit adequate?

As the meter is only £3.99 I would buy it - amazing how much time that will save you. You can't watch or hear the TV from up a ladder where the dish is. It can be done but the meter will make it a lot easier.

Better get in before me, as I plan to get as many meters as I can get my hands on - then sell them! We I am Scottish.

It offers neither, but it may be capable of a software upload to decrypt some channels.

FTA is just that free to air channels only.... no cams required. However some people are writing flash software patches for FTA receivers that allow decrytion of certain channels.
