Hy there. I recently got an Vantage HD 7100TS satellite receiver and i want to link it to my htpc because i want to store my recordings in real time.
Both my htpc and my receiver has an USB, ESATA and ethernet port. I tryed to link them with an usb cable but no succes.
Can anyone tell me how to link them?

Have you tried using an Ethernet cable with the correct IP settings?
This is what I use between a Dreambox and the PC.

I assum that you use a crossover wire to link them. I don't think that my Vintage is so smart to do this but i'll try.
i'll let you know if it's work. Thanks anyway!

I use a router and ordinary Ethernet cable.

Shouldn't a router with straight ethernet cables work the same as a cross wired cable pc to box? If so that should not be a problem.

Does anyone know if it's possible to communicate with a Topfield 7710 hd pvr?
