little advice DiSEqC 1.2 my settings

hi im using your guides which are great but bit stuck not sure what these settings mean on my reciever

move <>
slow<>
position
reference position
east limits (ok flashes when click these)
west limits
delete limits
find satellite

another thing stuck with is the numbers on bracket (20-70) not sure what means and what should be on

im un south east uk if helps

The first two are pretty self explanatory, moving East and West, the position i presume is to send the dish to a pre-saved position, reference point is normally zero, East and West limits are to stop your dish crashing into the wall, delete limits, self explanatory and find satellite is i presume for using USALS to drive to a satellite.

The degrees on the bracket of the dish are for elevation, the degrees on the motor bracket will be either elevation or lattitude.

What make is the motor, I would advise that you add it to your profile, then you won't have to keep posting it. Some have a lattitude scale and an elevation scale, if it is a lattitude, then you put your lattitude, you will then need to calculate the dish elevation, called declination in motor setup, this calculation should be in the motor instructions.

right i think im starting to understand my motor is DiSEqC 1.2
i checked my Latitude and is 51.788 my Elevation is 74m (is that what i set Motor Elevation Angle cos its only goes up to 70 )
and how do i know how set the dish angle (20-50)

and how do Point motor 0 degree to Truth South got compas not sure how use it

then i tune in to thor2 is that corret then go west to Hispasat then back again to adjust

No, the elevation referred to is the elevation of the satellite in the Sky and will be somewhere between 28 and 30 degrees, but that will not be what you adjust the dish scale to, as the motor armature has an offset angle.
