C&Ku combos imo are always a compromise.

If you have a prime focus dish you might be able to use a bullseye feedhorn.

Nothing for a CM dish I guess that will do both ?

Titanium satellite has a Combo (CK1S), to which you can fit a conical scalar. This may work to some degree, but remember the scalar is different for C and Ku band, so it will be a compromise design.
This may work for normal TV watching, but if you are motorising and/or feed-hunting anyway, I would think you're better off with an off-set C-band mouned slightly left or right of the center Ku.

With an offset dish like the CM design, you might get better results fitting the second (C band ) LNB, above the Ku though you will have to fit a second motor to move the reflector to the correct point.

If you have the money and space, put up a second dish.

Erhm... I didn't write the last two paragraphs (highlighted).
While the claims may be perfectly valid, I cannot vouch for them, as I have no experience in using these techniques, and therefore cannot give guidance in that subject matter.

Surely it would be better to add as a new comment rather than tag it on anonymously to someone else's post?

Well... classical case of editorial integrity.
One wonders what else has been written by whom?

Was acually somewhat upset by not so much the editing, but more that no-one owed up to having pressed the wrong button or whatever.
If not the moderator in question, then at least the editor-in-chief should look upon this with grave attention, and go dig in the logs to clarify and action somthing.

Have actually felt slightly restrained lately about posting - I somehow feel a slight loss of honesty and integrity.

Yes, it's strange if your post has been edited by adding text, not being your text.

Hope it really is a once and never again occurance.

Hmm that might have been me, it should have been a reply to the o/p, with just the two last paragraphs. The ‘editing’ part would , or should have been just a spelling correction of my own text, not including a previous post.

I have been using an exceedingly small screen when posting out of doors , an iPod nano 6, which comes complete with a ‘finger trouble’ keypad

So, it seems clear now that you didn't intend it this way.
Do we also hear a 'sorry sorry sorry' here? That would help me, if I was the one affected. So maybe that applies to st1 as well..

What is the centre frequency you are looking for, plus the end stops of reception ?

When I checked out supply of these pin pipes a while back I only found South American suppliers. They are used quite a lot in Brazil for 40.5W and there are a few suppliers who will ship to Europe but the postage costs are quite high. It would probably need a small group buy to get the postage costs per unit to a reasonable level.
