want to replace present faulty lnb on my motorised dish with a new one what i want to know is do you have to go to central sat and make sure it lnb installed straight or does it not matter.the actuator is H to H.

The lnb just has to be upright in it's holder, best way to carry this out is at your reference "0" position, but if you have a good sense of lineing things up you can do it anywhere.

Strictly speaking you should reset the skew on your reference satellite as is good practice.

But you can get away with peaking on your most used side of the arc or your favourite sat if you have one.

However remember that this is probably not going to be the best for sats on the other side of your arc.
