lnb worry

working in staffs moorlands
i have a grundig digital lnb and my problem is that it has some numbers on were you connect the cable no.s 1 TO 6,

and this moves what does it do?

i am confused.

If you are talking of a Sky minidish LNB Pov, then the settings are for Skew.

"Skew" is a measure of the angle that must be presented by the polarizer to the incoming signals in order to get best reception. It actually is a property of the signal (the signal is skewed, or "rotated" relative to horizontal/vertical), In the case of a universal LNB, the polarizer takes the form of fixed electronic probes, and the only way of "skewing" them is to rotate the whole LNB in its mount. Presumably the markings you refer to are there to enable that to be done accurately.
