Costactc You could always buy it and send it to me. If you pay the postage i don't mind forwarding it on to you in Canada. I'll even test it first to make sure it works.

Nano

That would be great. I'll place a bid and see what happens. Much appreciated.

I would be careful the seller has two for sale using the same generic picture. Has anyone asked him if these are indeed Mk1 units?

I'm beginning to think I should have kept quiet until after I bought my mk1. ;) You better not be buying the last mk1 on eBay or there will be trouble.....

It seems the seller has 2 of these receivers available, more then enough to go around my friend.

Let us know how it goes.

I decided to just get another DrHD F15 in the end, it's also useful to have everything the same so I can compare readings more easily and share recordings between boxes.

Will do. I assuming it will be very similar to the F15 - the only reason I went for it is because a) I want something different (though not by much!) and b) this receiver still has Phantom patches available for it. Just hoping to see the dB reading incorporated eventually...

Actually... I lost the receiver I was bidding on by £2 but the buyer pulled out and I got the 2nd chance offer.

Same thing happened to by 1.2m Fibo dish!

Mmm, I am not impressed. I can't find a way to configure one set of satellites for one type of motor and another set for another. For example, I want everything between 13E and 68.5E on my DiSEqC USALS motor and the rest on my DiSEqC 1.2 motor... but if I change it for one satellite, it's all copied onto other satellites. No good...

The M1 & M2 are identical in build & software I have both they are very good receivers for weak signals with very good HD & SD pictures on a 40" tv.

I thought M1 was Korean made and M2 and M3 Chinese?

I was really hoping this receiver to be similar to the F15 (and it is) but there are certain things missing like no dB readout or signal quality information when below lock - so difficult to find weak satellites.

Yes the M1 is South Korean made & the M2 Chinese & they are the same build quality & hardware both very good receivers except for the 45,000 symbol rate that pops up when a low symbol; rate is in use,:( never fixed still an excellent receiver though,

It's the M3 where the Chinese changed the design of the software/hardware it is not actually a TM5402HD but a TM-F3/5 Mk2 with transponder data base errors even if you delete them they come back Turksat 42 east ends up with East & West transponders even if you cannot receive them in your location  same goes for some of the other satellites :( another fault never fixed,
But the M3 suits 95% of customer needs most people think it is a brilliant receiver for DTH satellites 28E 19E 13E ect :D

This is why the TM5402M1 & M2 are sought out by enthusiasts :) for fringe reception & a more stable data base but as we only account for 5% of the sales we have to make do with what is on offer,

I prefer the excellent TM6900HD Combo & TM6902HD combo from these TM NDF series of receivers:) they are more expensive but they are worth it.

Ahhh! Gotcha... I always assumed M2 and M3 were essentially the same rather than M1 and M2.

Me too, well originally I thought M1 and M2 where the same (before M3 came along) but then when it was mentioned that M2 was made in China I was under the impression it was using different components so not as sensitive as the M1.

After the Chinese use up all the parts that the Koreans had sent them to make the M2 they invented the M3 using locally sourced parts in China the software was copied from the TM3000 series so they put it in a new smaller case & called it a TM-F3/5 then later as the sales were not very good renamed & re-cased it the TM5402HD M3 now it sells very well.
