Hi!

I just bought a DM5620 and i have troubel getting low SR channels to work.
I called a DM support and they said that this is a software problem.

I downloaded Hydra_Zeus.img with a Low_SR Fix but this din't helped. Tryed all possible images but still no luck. I hoped that Latest hydra_phoenix would fix the problem but NO.

Does anyone have a syggestion on how can i get my low SR channel to work on DM5620?

Thanx

How low is low???
Post the SR.
In any case, there is also other posibilities why the trasponder do not lock.
Did you try to insert this channel/s directly into dreamboxedit???
Sometimes the scan do not or can't parse the trasponder, and it shields no results,no channels found.
Try the DBedit method.

Yes i did try inserting into DBedit but that dosent work.

I am able to find the channels with manual scan ( signal quality ~82 % and BER=0) but when i switch to the channel i get BER upp to 400 and signal jumping from 50 to 80 % and "Service could not be founf !".

I have no problems with those channels on a 7000 with Phoenix running, did need to edit the transponder on one of them in the transponder edit menu on the DB, but otherwise OK. Can you watch everything else on 16E?

No i cant watch SCPC (Low Symbolrates) channels. And again i dont have problem with signal. There is something with software.

I have no probs with:
AlbaniaSat
11449 H
27500

and DigitALB
11092 V
32000

Why not see if there is a Phoenix version for your box and try again, you may have more luck, as it works perfectly with the 7000, as did the poseidon and angharad.

Well I'm not sure what to advise, as far as I know, the tuner is similar in the two boxes, so it should only be a software problem.

pj::
Low symbol rate channels can be the most difficult ones to receive for tuners. Strong channels on other transponders on the same satellite can stop the tuner resolving weak SCPC (single channel per carrier) signals.

Is it possible to try receiving some low symbol rate channels on another satellite? Secondly, it may be that your dish is too small to get the low symbol rate channels even though you can get the the other transponders on 16 E. (Or the dish might be slightly misaligned.) Can you try your Dreambox with a neighbour's bigger dish?

Dm7000 tune ok very low symbol rates, even below 2000.
I have some channels lower than that and they lock and scanand display correctly.
But as you say,it might have to do with your image.

I am not sure what do you mean with ATM.
The dish is Nokia 80 cm.
and
LNB's are:
1. ALPS - BSTE8-601B with Nf=0.6 dB.
2. SHARP - BSCR86L00 didn't find any specification for this one.

What would help:
Changing dish to a larger?.
LNB's, i was thinking of trying with invacon 0,3 db.
Would it help if i use only one LNB directed to the center of dish?

Another thing is worth mentioning that i never had a problem with other Digitall receivers with the same configuration and same SCPC channels.

Thanx for trying to help me

Changed 0.3 dB to 0.2 db LNB yesterday and picture is now more stable on a Technomate, 90cm dish, North London.
