Can anyone help me please, I have been offered a new Magic Cam, cheap will this work on my Humax 5300, and if so what exactly will it achieve?. Many Thanks for looking.

Has your "Global or Universal" cam alrady been programmed? If it has it should work with "Fun Cards" and decrypt channels of all hackable formats i.e Viaccess 1, Seca 1 etc. you should be able to use official cards as well, for Viaccess 2 etc. It should also accept "Gold Cards" for individual hacked scrambling formats. If of course it has not been been programmed as is blank then you will need to program it. Pulsat is the only supplier at present that I know of who sell the programmers. Where the software is?, then I'm afraid it's a surfing job.
