Newbie Here Major newbie. Need skybox help please

hello this is my first post on this forum relating to the skybox.

I've heard good things about the boxes themselves.
Am I right in thinking I'm going to need the basic sky setup to have the box working plus an Internet connection?

Also what is the best box available right now??

Please excuse my lack of knowledge but I want to learn also

Hiya Anthony, welcome to the forum.

You do not need any kind of internet connection to a Sky box

All new Sky boxes are now branded Sky so theres no real difference between them. Its more a case of the hard drive size - I think a 2TB drive is currently the biggest available. If you order through Sky you just get the hard drive size you specified.

If you are hoping to get free Sky UK we will not help you - we are a UK based forum and we do not allow any chat on ways to defraud Sky UK of their legitimate subscription revenue.

The servers that the "Skyboxes/Openboxes" connect to are notorious for disappearing and leaving punters out of pocket, so think very carefully before you spend your dosh on them - anyone coming here saying "Ive bought this dodgy service on an openbox and its stopped after a few days so how do I get my telly back" gets no sympathy at all from us.

If you want guaranteed sservice then just pay Sky what they ask.
