What is considered the best protection for computers, free or paid for. Virgin keep sending letter saying I have a potential multicast vulnerability. Checked everything and it all seems correct, probably the Overseers Alexa Dot.

My doctor told me to only sleep with young women and it would go away. He was correct.

Many opinions on what's best - depends on which reviews & mags you read.

Personally, I'm sticking with Kaspersky, even after all the recent adverse publicity, because I have no "official secrets" to hide/reveal, and because I turned off the feedback to their labs in Moscow - a 1yr 10-user licence for£15 last Summer helps as well.

OTOH, BitDefender seems to get good write-ups, as do others - but opinions "come and go" (OTOH, wouldn't touch Norton or Mcaffee, and especially the latter).

I use Malawarebytes to scan but its £50 a year for constant protection. it is also hard work telling the women here not to download crap.

A Malwarebytes full sub is expensive, whereas Kaspersky is relatively cheap (you can buy 3, 5, and 10-user licences, and the latter is the best "buy" if you can cop an Amazon special deal, as I did, although it's normally around the £30 mark).

However, I do use the free version of Malwarebytes as a backup to Kaspersky which provides the full time protection, and I run that free version occasionally or whenever something "suspicious" appears to, maybe, have happened.

Kaspersky will flag any suspicious downloads or dodgy websites and make you override it's recommendations if "you" want to, but it is pretty "vociferous" with those warnings - so, the "women" might hopefully take note of them and not download the crap!

NB: should you decide to ditch the paid-for Malwarebytes then make sure that it is absolutely & fully uninstalled, and then install the free version. That "offers" you a few weeks "full protection" as part of the installation but will then put you back on the subscription "bandwagon" at the end of the trial period - However, you can avoid (as I have) taking up that "offer" if you are careful.

My doctor told me to only sleep with young women and it would go away. He was correct.

It was inferred by the police that I would go away for a long time if I did as the doctor suggested, they also confiscated the chloroform.

I use the full version of Malwarebytes it finds most stuff, but I have found that not all one brand finds everything, I use several different ones, one is Super anti-spyware (run after Malwarebytes) it finds some stuff the others miss, and I have tried them all.
