A man bit into a Cadbury's Creme Egg and found ants eating the filling inside.
Alex Lye felt some of the insects in his mouth after taking a bite out of the egg.
Mr Lye, 21, from Crawley, West Sussex, said: "It was horrible. I felt sick. I had taken a bite off the top of the egg and cream went in my mouth. The egg tasted a bit odd. I looked at it and that's when I saw the ants.
"There were also lots of little black pellets which looked like eggs. I spat the mouthful out. I was trying not to vomit. I used to love Creme Eggs but I won't be buying one again."
He has kept the remains of the egg and the ants in a fridge to show to Cadbury, reports The Sun.
A spokesman for the company said: "It is impossible for the ants to have been present in the egg before it was wrapped. This is clearly distressing and we will carry out an urgent investigation."
