Following Maria De Villota's accident at Duxford on Tuesday, Marussia have released a further update on the medical condition of their test driver. De Villota was taken from the airfield to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge and on Tuesday afternoon a surgical team embarked on a lengthy operation to address the serious head and facial injuries she sustained. Following the procedure, the Spaniard remains in a critical but stable condition and has lost her right eye as a result of the accident.
