Mediaset SpA said it has agreed to sell the satellite TV broadcasting rights for Juventus football games in the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 seasons to News Corp unit Sky Italia for 157.3 mln eur.

In December, Mediaset purchased all the distribution rights for Juventus games in Italys Serie A league for the two seasons for 218 mln eur.

'Mediaset will retain ownership of rights for digital TV, ADSL (high speed internet), UMTS, DVBH mobile TV, and foreign rights and will manage these in the most open way for the market,' it said.

The Milan-quoted Juventus is majority-owned by IFIL SpA.
