Hi! I have no idea. I did not manage to remove it. I think it was assembled and then welded.

I will check the one I have sitting in the shed tomorrow, though I might have to row across the garden to get to it.

That one in your shed would look better on my patio with a dish on it. I got crispy green folding 'ere if you wanna bring it over?

It's welded to something much bigger, a Patriot backplate / canister.

My Satellite Setup
OpenBox X5 on a 1 meter motorized dish.
And now a 10 foot "C" band dish.

Custom built PC
My Location
Deep in the Boonies in the central Sierra Nevada mountains of California.
Could there be a couple of roll pins holding it to the shaft? Maybe covered up with paint, or some sort of rust preventive sleeve??

And by the looks of the end it could be pressed onto a spline, the hole at the back of it looks to be a centering point for some lath work, a gear or bearing press may be needed to push it (the shaft) out the one end.

Look at the ends of the internal worm gear, see if there are any splines or key-ways, if so then it's a press fit.

My dinghy has been washed away, so I'm not going to be able to check on the press fit (or other) of the shaft until tomorrow when I fabricate a coracle out of the 3.1m Intelsat dish.

i just want to know the difference between this dish (offset) and a prime focus !
it s for build a modified polar mount .Offset.jpgprime.jpg

for calculation just use trigonometry!

h1=55 h2 =27 L1(cos1) =55 ====55-27=28(sin1) atan (28/55)= 27°mes2.jpg

Or even easier?
sin(angle) = (h1-h2) / L1
so angle = asin ( (h1-h2) / L1 )
(So for angle = 27*, L1 must be 61.7? )

That 27* is declination angle + offset angle, as you wrote.

So you can trust the above value of 22.6 offsetangle; that is calculated by width and hight of the dish.

i had take better measurements : offset+declinaison is adjustable from 22° to 27° ! (with this polar mount from channel master)
but in france where i live declinaison is about 7° (6.5 to 6.91)
if CM180 is 22° offset : i need 22+7 = 29° minimum ???

@dreambox1959 CM180 has 22.6* offset angle, take is as axiom. And offset angle can not be changed, it is built-in by manufacture. I think you have drowned in the issue of wrong positioning of the feed. The issue is simple.... CM has made feedarms and LNB-holder in the way that they do not hold the feed (LNB ) in proper position and not properly point it towards the surface of the dish.
And when we add the polar-mount to the system whish is already has too many mistakes then we finish with totally messed-up construction.
My advice to you would be: make sure the feed is placed and pointed correctly and then start to adjust the polar-mount.

these days i build a new polar mount based on AJAK-h-180 i ll post some pictures soon.

@dreambox1959 congratulations, you've got one of the best dishes possible. As far as I know CM did not make LNB-holder for C-band LNB. Could you, please show some pictures of the hardware you have?
