Metabox III TSOP image (the "ON" problem)

More and more people have reported that their receivers showing “ON” on the front panel and are dead as a hammer…



Indeed, writing complete TSOP image is the only solution. The s/w available from Metaware does not contain BOOT sectors – this is why even after flashing the M29W160DT chip with it nothing happens.



In this regard, can someone post COMPLETE TSOP BACKUP (2048 kb) for Metabox I; II and III? This will help others to resurrect their hardware. Perhaps one of our friendly moderators…?

Hi every one have a same problem:

after approximatly one month with help my friends i could solved that problem.

In first step you should make JTAG cable. you can find software and schematic map in below address.

software name is jkey...

after that you must program your receiver with JKEY and flash rom dump file...

OK..again you can find that in this address

Go to the files link and download file you need.

after that try , your receiver should go from ON to Strt when power on that.

ok....now you should update that software and channels with RS232 Cable.

what do your receiver?

my receiver is a good boy...after that procedure do good work...work better befor ;)

suggest: i want buy a small and powerfull fan because the heat sink of microcontroller so hot when i`m show the channel.

i think after that my receiver hang up decrease...

thx for that m8 but it does not say in detail how to connect the jtag cable does it??? it dont evenl tell u which of which is the pin number and all that plus u dont know if u need a female or male connector??

I have not voltag 18v from lnb transistor sta353 I fond it in emetor
but no v in colector to take it to ka7812 there is not voltage in this
