Film and TV composer Michel Legrand has died aged 86.

Probably best known for 'Windmills Of Your Mind' from the film Thomas Crown Affair, a lot of his music had a jazz inflection.

R.I.P Michel.

Oscar-winning composer Legrand dies at 86

Windmills of Your Mind. A superb song well presented by the late Rex Harrison.

RIP Michel.

Not Rex, but his equally late son Noel. Rex sang (or at least spoke the lyrics), to animals in Doctor Dolittle.

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

I thought Legrand had died a few years ago, but he appears to have been active right up to the end.

He was composing for a number of animations (often French adaptions of Japanese cartoons - Revenge of the Humanoids for example
) but there were a number of his offerings included in more recent cartoons.

RIP

Aaaargh, quite right. I thought Noel and my fingers disagreed and typed Rex! FWIW I believe that Noel was living somewhere in SW England at time of death.
