I want to set up a private single channel microwave link, operating in the 2.5 to 3.5 ghz range, for use abroad. Does anyone know a source of aerials and up/down converters?

Try Vivisimo Clustering - automatic categorization and meta-search software first John. Vivisimo is quite good for this kind of search.

Don't forget locally enforced frequency restrictions - what's an ok band here might lead you into a big pile of you-know-what abroad.

Have Fun,

Mark.

How far do you want to send the channel?

Try Gabriel Antennas in the US (Tom Goebelbecker)

They have designs from 2GHz all the way to 30GHz for ground based applications

And so far, theres no distributor cut as they havent got one for Europe
