Now heres something a bit unusual. Obviously Moon Trees arent trees from the moon, but they are germinated from seeds which went to the moon on Apollo 14 in 1971 (well technically they went around the moon, but whats 100 miles in a quarter of a million mile journey)

Unfortunately NASA managed to lose track of them :-doh! ....! Now one of their scientists is trying to find them again:

How very bizarre

I'm sure "genuine moon tree seeds" or at least "genuine space seeds" will turn up on eBay sometime :rolleyes:

There's a (repeat) BBC radio 4 programme about this, at 2100 tonight (July 20), after which it should remain downloadable - from the BBC website - for about a week.
