Water Bridge in Germany
Six years, 500 million euros, 918 meters long.......now this is engineering!
This is a channel-bridge over the River Elbe and joins the former East and West Germany , as part of the unification project. It is located in the city of Magdeburg , near Berlin . The photo was taken on the day of inauguration.

I thought so but then I had this nagging doubt that it may be photoshop enhanced, I was hoping someone like T_G would be able to verify it's authenticity

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

Gave me brown undies 6 years ago when I made the 'journey'
Never again, look left 800ft drop look right 800 foot drop but I'm still in a longboat in a canal, yes and the canal is made of some very rusty cast iron bath tubs rivetted together:eek:

What got me was not so much the drop either side, but that on the edge without the walkway, was a length of cast iron about three inches thick, holding the structure together, and keeping the water and barges in, nothing else.

Will try and find a picture I took (from inside the boat)
