There are three more channels on 11096V.
They are HTH, UTR, and KTM. Music and general entertainment channels.
I sometimes struggle to get them but then I only have a 70cm dish, I should think a 80 cm would get it o.k.

I thought you already had 11096V, I think they are Ukranian, many Russians wouldnt give them much airing.

Hi Rob

Clear starlight sky at present, signal levels from 53 east.
11044 strongest
11097V = 11083V
11184V weakest (broken up during day time).
1m dish, east Anglia, near Ipswich.

H-B
edit, just done a search on that bird and found Al Rai 1A , fta, at 12639V, 2893, but a bit broken up, must be Egyptian.

Your right of course CH they are Ukrainian channels, my wife likes to watch them but prefers the Russian channels of course.

Hi Happy-Buddah, and you are probably right as well as there are about five Egyptian channels on 53 east.

That's about it at the moment in the FTA department, and even ORT (Kanal 1) might be scambled soon.
RTVi, Nashe Kino, Detski Mir and Teleklub are now scambled in viaccess 2.

Have you tried Express AM22 at 53 east, as there are about six or seven Russian channels FTA on 11044V, 29800, 3/4.

Cheers. I only have Hotbird and Astra 1 and 2 at present, as I'm waiting for the guy who kindly set up my system very cheaply to finish the job. Milinky moya from st petersburg will be gutted if Kanal 1 goes!!

Looks like the RTVi channels on Hotbird 2 - 13.0E are in the clear again.

Seems a waste paying for the subs this year ;-)

Hi all

My Ukrainian girlfriend is coming to stay with me for a few months and I want to give her channels from home.

The only channels I have found are those on Sirius and Amos2 And the Russian channels on Hotbird. Shame there's no way of watching the RTV package :(

Is there any way to get RTR ,OPT and NTV from Sirius. It would have having to spin the dish from bird to bird. I cant see 53E BTW

Thought all the UA channels were moving to Amos2? Be nice if NTU1 and Inter (main channel) would show up, NTU did a test a few months ago, then went without a trace :(

A questions for all you who have a Russian/ Ukrainian wife.
(if you dont mind me asking)

Where did you meet? How did you cope with the language? Impressions of the countrys?

I met my GF over the net 3 years ago, using a chat room. Been to Ukraine 3 times, she lives in Chernivtsy. She always meets me in Kyiv and we have a nice 18 hr train ride down.

I was there when the protests were in full swing! Great atmosphere!
Back again at the start of May, eurovision fever :p.

I have a 90cm dish with two lnb's on a switch. I have no trouble picking up Hotbird and Sirius at the same time. I can't get the weaker Nordic beam channels. My wife is Russian but a lot of the content on the Ukrainian channels on Sirius is in Russian.

As for Amos2 I never tried but believe a bigger dish is needed. I guess it would be quite hard to setup a dish to receive all 3 birds (17 degree spread) without investing in some motorise kit. But you may be able to setup a two lnb system on Sirius and Amos. But you may need a bigger dish.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that,

I've already got a 1.2m motorised and a 90cm static.

Ideally I need a separate system for My GF's channels :p

Amos2 is no problem on the 1.2, not tried it on the 90 as I am waiting for my meter to be upgraded with new firmware etc. Glad that you get Sirius and Hotbird on the one dish, I want sure that the dish would be big enough.

Not much point in the Noridic channels anymore :(
