Hello everyone

First of all I'd like to apologise for my first post being a request for information :|

Has anyone had any problems with frequencies on the Morgan's Kingston?

When I compare the frequencies of German channels I have on Astra with up-to-date online frequency lists, they're not even close to matching - It wouldn't really bother me, except it makes finding Hotbird and Eutelsat W2 difficult since the frequency I enter from a site isn't what's really there ;)

Here is a few of the frequencies I'm using at the moment for some popular German & English channels on Astra**:

Vertical:
1005 QVC DE
1373 VIVA DE
1474 RTL
1626 TV Shop DE
1875 CNN
972 CNBC Europe

Horizontal:
1461 RTL II
1488 RTL Shop
1523 VOX
1549 VIVA Plus
1580 Kabel 1
1607 Bloomberg DE
1641 Super RTL
1669 MTV 2 POP DE


On all the lists I've checked, they listed frequencies aren't even within a few hundred Mhz of what I have :S

You see QVC on 11005MHz. Its actually on 10759MHz. So you are 246 Mhz out, which is a clue. You receiver is set with its lnb frequency 250 Mhz too high. (Its probably set to 10000MHz instead of 9750 mhz.) If you cant find how to alter it in the menu, just add 250MHz onto any frequency....

The frequencies listed are the IF frequencies, when you add 9750 to them (the low band Local Oscillator), they come out at the correct transmitted frequency, my old BT receiver used to show them the same way.

Perhaps the receiver doesn't have the LNB set up, hence why it is showing IF rather than RF.

Took about 5secs to find the Hotbirds instead of pissing around for 40 minutes, blindly searching ;)

Shame there's so few Analogue channels now, think I'll have to get a nice digital receiver
