Purchased in September 2016 completely un-used.

It is brand new and has only been taken out of the box.

I have since obtained a brand new Jaeger 1224 that was never expected : )

Hence the re-sale £140 plus £16.40 carriage to UK by Parcel Force 48.

Total £156 in my esteemed generosity you can have the 40p discount : )

It is brand new in the original box, all we did was unpack it.

God Bless Allen and Alanna

Be careful with this - it has no limit switches, so make sure these are set in VBox.

Mine has limit switches. You'll want to make some alterations to it before you install it, add a star washer to every screw or bolt under the cover, if you don't they'll work lose. Fabricate another elevation bolt and fix it on the opposite side to the supplied one, I used a small piece of angled aluminium bolted on using the motor screws, it will stop the sideways movement in the wind and if you're in an exposed location it will reduce the chances of shearing the case apart. Before you fit the upper and lower dish brackets on the main shaft add a good coating of copperslip.

They are there but are they adjustable? From VS's encounters, pretty sure they are fixed...

ISWYM, never really thought about it as I've no obstructions to worry about, assumed they were there just to stop it falling off the end of the gear. Star washers, just a selection of M4/6/8 that I have in stock Yes, you could swap the bolt for an actuator but it would be a much better idea to make a bracket on the other rear corner, brace across between it and the existing mounting point and fix the actuator in the middle.

Just bought an assorted pack of washers in about 3 different types and 6 or 8 sizes, hopefully that will sort that out.

Making parts/brackets is beyond me, sadly, so unless I can get it all pre made I will have to stick with just left right for now.

But it's food for thought.

Thanks for your help guys :)

Hallo Chris,

We have just returned from Mullion Post Office.

Tracking No - - - - - -

We had missed the collection for today, so it will be in transit tomorrow, Ruth said that it should be delivered on Friday.

The service is signed for please see direct email.

We double boxed it, it weighed over 11kg we should not have believed the label on the previous delivery box, some of the collect type carriers obviously do not check the weight : )

Never mind, hope you have fun with it.

I was going to fit a vertical actuator in place of the bolt, I have fitted one to my current setup using a home made power supply of about 8 volts DC.

The transformer is quite small originally from the 6.3v heater supply to a colour TV tube.

It feeds a bridge rectifier with a single reservoir capacitor

I used a toggle switch to change the polarity and a hold down type switch to turn the power on to the actuator.

The East West is via a V Box and sat receiver as per normal.

God Bless Allen

Box has turned up today. Hopefully over the weekend I will try and swap them over.

(Mod note, I am happy to close the tread)
