Not so much AS ..
depends really on how old the printers are/were ..
Printers are something that didn't stand the test of time..and more often than not ..
were scrapped at the end of their life.
inks or print heads not being available any longer

I have a 75000 driver disk.I used to use it to install drivers to Xp.The drivers seem to be all for w95,98 ,xp era.I think that I have managed to get it onto Dropbox. However I find that googling ( 75000 drivers). brings the the software up.I think that it will be the same drivers.

We will be retiring quite a few 17 year old printers at work this summer. They still work (give or take some of them have more or less run out of toner and Im refusing to buy any more) These have had a hard life in a high school and most parts are still available although some of them are not cost effective now (200 quid for a fuser unit or 250 quid for a new printer....)

Two of our Art rooms have 3 printers between them & the combined age of them is 51! Two colour HP3600 & a Brother HL1250.

The only reason these vernerable old machines are being retire en mass this year is simply the council is re-equipping everywhere with new Xerox kit. Shame some of the existing stuff wont see 20 years (!) but I'll be glad to see the back of the more troublesome printers.
